Installed fans

Our bilge needs positive air flow and we figured a small fan or two would be an inexpensive way to accomplish this. Keeping mold and mildew off the boat would be nice so we purchased two Attwood 4" fans and found that one may have been all we needed. The fans can move serious amounts of air but beware of the loud noise. Its like having an oversized hair dryer but without the hot air feature. I'm pleased otherwise.

The water resistant Attwood 4" turbo inline blower.
250 cubic feet per minute.
12 volt at 5 amps.
Pros : moves a lot of air, easy to install.
Cons: it's loud and consumes a lot of current.

With warmer weather on the horizon we anticipate the cabin becoming uncomfortable so we opted for a basic reliable fan to help with heat and keep air circulating. The Hella turbo fan was selected because it was smallish, simple 2 speed and adjustable. Once installed we found it to move air nicely and without being to loud. It's still a loud fan but I can live with it, at least so far.
2 speed Hella turbo fan.
12 volt at 3 amp.
Pros : swivel mounts, nice air movement, light weight, two speeds.
Cons: Cheap plastic and noticeably people have to speak louder when its running, expensive.
