The old man

This old guy has been making comment towards me and the boat as he walks by, he never stops either. I  take it with stride considering his age and that I am new in the area. Its his form of hazing I suppose.  Well lately as I sand and re-finish our old girl his comments have gotten stronger. "Youll never finish you know, you know that dont you?", I say "yeah I know!" Another comment while passing me by was "its always going to leak" or "your wasting your time". Well im getting to the finishing stages now and the ol grump is singing a new tune. He is making word eating comments now. Ill never forget as he finally stopped to look over my work, peraps im starting to make an inpression.
